Privacy Policy

MessMate

• Name and phone number.
• College, and where the college requires it, division and class.
• A photograph, only if you choose to provide one. It is optional, and taken live rather than uploaded from a gallery.
• Payment screenshots you send to your mess, and the payment records the mess owner enters.
• Attendance: which days you ate.
• If you use the food and workout tracker: meals logged, workouts completed, and weight entries you record.

School ERP

• Student name, class and section, and the contact details the school holds.
• Attendance, marks and results entered by school staff.
• Fee records and payment history entered by the school.
• Homework, notices and messages posted by the school.

We do not collect Aadhaar or any government identifier in any of our products. An earlier specification for MessMate asked for it; we removed it deliberately, because holding one raises the consequences of any breach and earns nothing operationally.

Only to make the product work for the organisation you belong to. A mess needs to know who ate and who has paid; a school needs to record attendance, marks and fees, and reach parents. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. There is no advertising in any of our apps, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDK.

• All traffic is over HTTPS.
• Photographs and payment screenshots are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database. The key is held in the server environment and is never stored in the database, so a database copy on its own yields nothing readable.
• Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes. Nobody at Shrinidhi Technologies can read your password.
• Access is scoped: staff at one mess or school can only reach their own records.
• Counter staff accounts are restricted further and cannot see financial information at all.

• You — your own record, in the app.
• Your mess or your school — the organisation you belong to, and only them.
• Us — only where we need to operate or repair the service, or where the law requires it.

Data is never shared between different messes or different schools. Each is separate.

Data is held on managed infrastructure (Vercel and Neon) with servers in the Asia-Pacific region. We keep records for as long as your mess or school keeps you on their register, and for a reasonable period afterwards so they can answer questions about past payments and attendance.

Ask us and we will delete your data, unless your mess or school is required to retain it for their own accounting or statutory reasons.

• The photograph is optional. You can register without one.
• You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
• You can ask for corrections — or ask your mess or school, who can edit most of it directly.
• You can ask for deletion, subject to the retention note above.
• Notifications can be turned off from your device settings at any time.

The School ERP holds information about children, entered by their school and visible to their school and their own parents. We collect it on the school's instruction, use it only to run the school's own processes, and never for advertising or profiling. A parent who wants their child's data corrected or removed should contact the school, or us at the address above.

Our apps do not process payments. Money is paid directly to your mess or school, and recorded there by staff. Where a membership is paid by UPI, the transfer happens in your own UPI app; we only store the screenshot you choose to send as proof. We never see or store card or bank credentials.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, tell you in the app.
